This Shipping Policy explains how delivery works on GOLDFINCH, a marketplace where independent sellers (“Sellers”) offer goods directly to buyers.

1. Who Ships Your Order

  • GOLDFINCH operates as a marketplace platform only.

  • Each order is fulfilled and shipped by the Seller you purchase from, not by GOLDFINCH, unless expressly stated otherwise.

  • Shipping costs, delivery methods, and dispatch times may vary between Sellers.

Seller-specific shipping details are shown on the product listing and/or at checkout.

2. Delivery Locations

  • Sellers may ship within the United Kingdom, and some may offer international shipping.

  • Available delivery locations will be displayed before you complete your order.

  • Some Sellers may exclude certain areas (e.g. Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands). Any exclusions will be clearly stated.

3. Dispatch Times

  • Dispatch times are set by individual Sellers and shown on the product page.

  • Dispatch time means the period between the Seller receiving your order and handing it to the delivery carrier.

  • Orders are usually dispatched on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).

4. Delivery Times

  • Estimated delivery times are provided by Sellers and/or delivery carriers.

  • Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

  • Delays may occur due to circumstances outside the Seller’s control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption, or customs processing (for international orders).

5. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping charges are determined by each Seller and displayed at checkout before payment.

  • Some Sellers may offer free delivery, minimum-order free shipping, or promotional rates.

  • Any applicable VAT will be shown in accordance with UK tax requirements.

6. Tracking Information

  • Where available, Sellers will provide tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

  • Tracking availability depends on the delivery service chosen by the Seller.

7. International Orders & Customs

  • For orders shipped outside the UK:

  • You may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees imposed by the destination country.

  • These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost unless stated otherwise.

  • Sellers are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance.

8. Missing, Lost, or Damaged Items

  • If your order arrives damaged, is missing items, or does not arrive, please contact the Seller directly via your account or order page as soon as possible.

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Sellers are responsible for ensuring goods are delivered as described and within a reasonable time.

9. Change of Delivery Address

  • Delivery addresses cannot usually be changed once an order has been placed.

  • If you notice an error, contact the Seller immediately—changes are at the Seller’s discretion and may not be possible after dispatch.

10. Split Shipments

  • If you order items from multiple Sellers, you may receive separate deliveries, each with its own shipping cost and delivery time.
